When condensate sits in the reservoir for any length of time in humid conditions, the condensate thickens and becomes sticky – making it difficult for the ‘must have ‘filter’ in piston motor type pumps to remove the fluid as the filter will get clogged and the float will stick. This makes a piston motor pump work harder, eventually overheating and destroying the pump.

With the ‘rotary diaphragm’ action of the BLUE DIAMOND pumps … there is NO FILTER to CLOG and NO FLOAT to STICK. All airborne particles pulled in by the A/C unit go straight through the pump. BLUE DIAMOND pumps can even operate with air in the discharge line, causing no pump harm. Air in the line on a piston motor pump is one dead pump!
